We are increasingly turning to interesting stories for entertainment and education, including podcasts, audiobooks, or online education. In this study, we are interested in how children engage with these stories over their duration.
Both male and female
9 years old to 12 years old
Healthy Volunteers
Who can participate in this study?
Children aged 9-12 with typical hearing, normal or corrected-to-normal vision (i.e., eyeglasses), and who are fluent in English.
What is involved?
Our study involves listening to a selection of 3 short stories presented over the internet from the comfort of your own home. During each story, you will also be asked to respond to the appearance of a visual stimulus on the screen using your keyboard. After each story, you'll be asked a few questions about the story to see what you remember and what you liked about the stories. In total the experiment should take about 1 hour to complete.
